I have an important announcement for 2006, but before I get to that, I want to review our successes last year. 2005 was by far our most successful year ever! Here are a few of our accomplishments:

• We added a dozen new articles, including a new article by Walter Rea, The Paraphrasing Prophet
• We added a whole new section, revealing Mrs. White's most confusing, mind-twisting statements. If you have not seen it yet, click here.
• Welcome Bulgarian readers! Over a dozen of our articles have now been translated into Bulgarian with more underway.
• We switched to a new internet provider with better support, faster performance, and less down-time.
• Usage at the web site skyrocketed in the last quarter of the year.

A couple of pro-EGW web sites came out swinging hard against us in 2005, rife with a portfolio of slander, outright lies, and innuendo. In the early part of the year we were concerned about what effect it would have on our readers. As it turns out, the attacks were the biggest boon to our success in 2005. We got a large lift in traffic thanks to them, and it continues to accelerate. It would seem the rock they tried to roll down upon us has turned around and rolled back on them! It reminded me of our meeting in Texas in 2004 when a lady stood up and shared with our leaders a Word that she said God strongly impressed upon her heart for this occasion:

"And I, behold, I make you this day a fortified city, an iron pillar, and bronze walls, against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, its princes, its priests, and the people of the land. They will fight against you; but they shall not prevail against you, for I am with you, says the LORD, to deliver you." Jer. 1:18,19

Important Changes for 2006

It is with some sadness that I announce my departure from the day-to-day operations of ellenwhite.org. I'm starting a new mission in Central America to provide healthcare, food and clothing for the people in a poor, under-privileged area. I'm very excited about the prospects of this new ministry for reaching people with the good news of Jesus Christ; however, I will be spending increasing amounts of time in Central America, away from modern conveniences (such as the internet) and will not be able to devote as much time to ellenwhite.org.

The good news is that Jeff Barron will be taking over as web site editor. I'm especially proud of Brother Barron because several years ago he was a believer in Ellen White. Then, he came across this web site. To make a long story short, he studied his way out of Adventism, as so many others are doing today. Brother Barron has been an active member of our personal ministry team for the last year, and I'm sure you will love him for his zeal for God, sharp wit, and devotion to the truth. He has a number of exciting plans for the web site for 2006 which he will be sharing with you soon in February's "corner".
